Another top 40 hit has been punk-ified in promotion for Punk Goes Pop 3. This has been the first full song uploaded in a couple of weeks and by the looks this Mayday Parade cover was well worth the wait.

With only a little bit longer to wait for the Punk Goes Pop 3 album another clip has been released. Quite possibly one of the most popular song being covered up and coming band The Ready Set are covering Airplanes, originally sung by B.O.B. and Hayley Williams. Listen to the clip above and make sure to get Punk Goes Pop 3 on November 2nd.
As they gear up to go on a sold out national tour with All Time Low and City Comma State the band A Rocket To The Moon recently released The Rainy Day Sessions, a short EP of acoustic songs and covers, making a perfect day when the weather is not-so-perfect.
Like We Used To-By far my favorite ARTTM song has been perfected in this acoustic version. The vocals are highlighted and the whole song flows in such a way that it's perfect to just set it on repeat for hours.
Baby Blue Eyes-The thing that's great about this EP is how soft the music has become. Although the original is well done, the guitar is a little too rough to just be able to listen and relax. The rainy day version however is soft and therefore any age group could enjoy it. A Rocket To The Moon is that band that parents and their kids can all listen to together and enjoy all the same.
Single Ladies-Everyone knows the smash club hit by Beyonce, just last night I heard it at a festival, a wedding and then at a school dance function. The thing is, I've listened so many times but never really focused on the verse lyrics until ARTTM covered it. Trying to choose between the two is a no brainer. Rocket wins.
Mr. Right-This track on the EP is probably the most different from the original On Your Side. Taking away the electric guitar and drums puts more focus on Nick Santino's voice and highlights the talent that got the band noticed in the first place. The planning for the track-listing is truly superb in terms of arrangement and is the perfect mix for any rainy day.
On A Lonely Night-The guest vocals of Larkin Poe shine brightest on the last track, especially with the harmonizing of the chorus. On A Lonely Night is the fastest track on the EP and gives the most energy to the listener, lifting their spirit before they start listening to it all over again.

From New Haven, CT comes The Queen Killing Kings, one of the most talented and nicest bands I have ever met. Playing The Quarter at Bourbon Street this past Sunday with The Pretty Reckless and Stereo Trigger the band was kind enough to sit down and answer a few questions. They're unique name and great sound has come from countless hours of practice and the drive to keep working towards the goal of making it as a band. For more details on the boys, watch the full interview above and visit http://www.myspace.com/thequeenkillingkings
You can also pick up their most recent album Tidal Eyes now on iTunes|Amazon|Napster|Rhapsody|Walmart|Verizon VCast| and Zune
We R Who We R is the brand new single from none other than our musical guilty pleasure Ke$ha. It might not win a prize for its spelling, but it's without a doubt going to get mega radio play. So listen to it here and stay tuned for more info about your favorite party girl's new album Cannibal.
Telling the love story between some salt and a snail, the animated video for Harmony was released today. The video keeps it quirky and fun while still sending the band's constant message of peace and harmony.

Everyone gets sick at some point or another. And this week I have been plagued by the flu. So while I have been staying home, sleeping, sniffling, and trying to catch up on school work I also managed to have enough time to put together a home sick playlist. It's basically a collection of songs you can still listen to when you're head in pounding and all you can do is sleep and listen to what's around you.
On a select three dates The Pretty Reckless and special guests will be going on of a mini-tour. Two dates are in the US and one in Canada. Tonight kicks it all off in Baltimore with The Queen Killing Kings and Stereo Trigger. If you can make it out be sure to get your tickets. Full coverage including pictures and interview footage will be posted soon so stay tuned.

The guys from The Friday Night Boys are calling it quits after a great three year run of being a band. The four popular boys took to the Fueled By Ramen blog to break their news to their undoubtedly upset fans. Signede by lead singer Andrew Goldstein he explains that the boys will be splitting off into solo projects of some sort but as a band The Friday Night Boys are done.
The blog:
"After three and a half years as band, The Friday Night Boys are officially splitting up. Many of you know that things don’t always go the way they are originally planned, but it is a decision we all agreed upon. However, I would like to take note of the positive experiences we had as a band, as well as with fans and friends.
We would like to thank all of the people that took the time to listen to our music, come to our shows, buy our merch, and talk to us. You all made flying down a highway at 4am pounding red bulls in a puttering old van much easier and enjoyable. Especially those of you who saw us time and time again all over the country. It was an honor to see your familiar faceswhenever and where ever we showed up. The lovely FNB fans brought us all the Cheez Its, cookies, cupcakes and gummy wormswe could eat! I think I’m good on those foods for a few years at least. So thank you.
We were able to live our dreams because of you. We would also like to thank our label, managers, friends, other bands, and family for being so supportive and helping us in every way.
So what’s next? Chris will be releasing solo material that you all should check out. Mike is releasing a project called Time Travel, and the first show is November 2nd at the Ottobar. Robby will be performing with him as well as working in a congressman’s office and playing music in other capacities. I currently do not have plans of releasing a solo project or playing in a band anytime soon, however, I am writing and producing for other artists and bands. I’ll let you all know what’s up on Twitter.
We would like to offer special prices for everyone to pick up our remaining merch. Head to The Fueled By Ramen Webstore to get t-shirts for $5 and hoodies for $15 through October 18th. We will also give out an autographed copy of “Off The Deep End” to a random customer each day during the sale! Thank you all for the support you have given us over the years!
-Andrew Goldstein
