The other day Chelsea introduced me to a funny song called "I Must Be Emo (EmoKid) Download I_Must_Be_Emo.mp3 and I had to go dig up "Punk Rock Girl" by the Dead Milkmen to do my "It’s all been done before" lesson once again. I was reminded in that song of the greatness of Mojo Nixon, with this lovely lyrical couplet.
"We went to a shopping mall
And laughed at all the shoppers
And security guards trailed us to a record shop
We asked for Mojo Nixon
They said he don’t work here
We said if you don’t got Mojo Nixon then your store could use some fixin."
Ahhh, they really don’t write ’em like that anymore.
And they also don’t make videos as fresh funny free-wheeling and joyous as this one either.
